Dear Voters,

On March 9, 2016, in Uncategorized, by Campaign Manager

I am honored by the trust you’ve placed in me as your Senator, and I have worked hard for the last 4 years to keep earning that trust by bringing people to the table and collaborating on issues and projects that make our state and our district a better place to live.

Step by step, we are fighting to advance human rights, protect our natural environment, and provide more job opportunities. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, from casting my vote for Marriage Equality, to working with Governor Dayton for progressive tax reform that increased taxes on the wealthiest 2% so they pay their fair share. The result? Real progressive change.

Despite this progress, there is much more work to do.

Racial and ethnic disparities in economics, employment and education are some of the worst in the country. I am leading the fight in the Senate to address this problem head on and find real working solutions so we can finally break down the barriers that leave so many of our neighbors behind.

As my former boss, Senator Paul Wellstone said, “We all do better when we all do better.” Minnesota must do better.

I’m running for Senate because I have a proven record of effective, progressive, community-based leadership, and the experience we need to get things done.

I ask for your support. Thank you.
